The storms of the Cape

This post is going to be short and sweet (as well as very much delayed). I felt I had to showcase some of the bizarre weather we’ve been experiencing down here in the Cape. These photos have been sitting in my album and after this week, I was reminded about the Bi-polar disorder Cape Town likes to show off.

The photos below are of what seems like snow but is actually a SUDDEN downpour of hail. Literally like that advert where the woman says: “It just jumped in front of me!” – that could be applied to this hail suddenly falling. Nonetheless, it was a little excitement which got social media platforms buzzing (some unfortunately misinterpreting it for snow). This occurred in the middle of August this year.

Check out the next post showcasing the snow which I think this hail was trying to warn us about. The snow even fell on Table Mountain!
