On 17th of September I was fortunate to have won a night for myself and 5 friends at the magical Madame Zingara courtesy of Clicks. Zingara has been in Cape Town for nearly a year now due to popular demand. Because of this extension, Zingara has created a whole new show which was to be launched from 1st October 2013. Collaborating with Clicks and their new make-up range, the launch of the new show was on that Tuesday night. Myself and my friends were unaware that we were sitting in a room full of VIPS and various media houses. Not only this but we were also treated like royalty with a table right in front of the stage, golden circle, baby!

The night was magical and whimsical as usual with Zingara putting on an outstanding performance as well. The new tour is called “After Forever”. Acts include Rory, the absinthe fairy, The Specifics, The Gauchos Bollas act and the astounding Ikarian Games amongst many more. We were treated to a delicious four-course meal.

The choices ranged from Norwegian salmon and lamb shank to a triple death by chocolate dessert.

We were also given two bottle of complimentary wine and all the ladies were given a small make-up bag with a few of the goodies that were part of the new Clicks make-up range. Once you’ve entered into the Tent of Dreams, they have you under their spell – just through the awe of it all.

The service and food as well as the acts are brilliant and engaging. It’s worth every cent. A fun and seductive kind of show.

If you haven’t seen the show yet, bookings happen fast so make sure to get a slot. Tickets range anything from R385 – R1250 depending on seating areas and packages.  The show will transfer to Johannesburg in 2014.

Dress code: As crazy as you want.
